Lubango, 10 July, 2024 / 6:14 pm (ACI Africa).
Archbishop Gabriel Mbilingi of the Catholic Archdiocese of Lubango in Angola has called upon scout coordinators in his Metropolitan See to foster good relationships among members.
In his address during the conclusion of the First Archdiocesan Meeting of Coordinators and Assistants of Catholic Scouts in Lubango, Archbishop Mbilingi cautioned against the vices of jealousy and envy.
“Watch out for jealousy and envy. This jealousy and envy can bring the destruction of groups and movements and the failure of the scouts' mission,” the Catholic Archbishop said during the July 7 event that was held at St. Joseph Parish of Lubango Archdiocese.
He added, “Some of you get jealous of the boy or girl scout who is very active instead of rejoicing that there are these people in our midst who are committed to the mission.”
“Please avoid jealousy,” the Angolan-born member of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost Fathers/Spiritans) said at the conclusion of the July 5-7 meeting.
