The leadership of the Catholic University of Malawi (CUNIMA) has donated medical equipment to St. Joseph-Nguludi Mission Hospital of the Archdiocese of Blantyre.
In a news report over the weekend, the Vice Chancellor of CUNIMA is quoted as saying that the donation is part of the Catholic institution’s “corporate social responsibility.”
"As a corporate social responsibility we feel obligated to assist St. Joseph-Nguludi Hospital just as we have assisted others in some districts when they were hit by the floods", Francis Vincent Nkhoma has been quoted as saying in the news report published Saturday, September 18.
The Vice Chancellor adds, "As Catholic University of Malawi (CUNIMA) we have always had a good relationship of collaboration with the St. Joseph-Nguludi Mission Hospital, since the beginning in 2006."
The donation from the Catholic University included Oxygen Medical Cylinders, surgical gloves, latex examination gloves, and overall gowns.
