Nairobi, 03 December, 2022 / 7:55 pm (ACI Africa).
Members of CitizenGo Africa, the African branch of CitizenGo, which is the international Catholic activist organization, have asked Robert Iger, the newly appointed CEO of Disney, to prioritize family values at the entertainment company, and to stop pushing the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBTQ) agenda in content meant for children.
In a petition shared with ACI Africa on Thursday, December 1, the CitizenGo Africa activists express their joy at the “firing” of CEO Bob Chapek, who they describe as a crusader for Disney’s incorporation of LGBT ideology in its products, and express hope that the new CEO will turn the situation around for the company.
“CEO Bob Chapek, one of the main crusaders for Disney’s turn to wokeism and its incorporation of LGBT ideology in its products, has been fired and replaced by his predecessor Robert Iger, in an embarrassing fashion,” the activists say.
In their petition, the CitizenGo activists launch a rally aimed at pushing the new Disney CEO to do away with LGBTQ content, saying, “Remind Robert Iger, newly appointed CEO of Disney, he must return to the family values instead of being the ruinous factory of LGBTQ+ indoctrination that it is now.”
The activists say that Disney has, for years, chosen to become “a perverse indoctrination machine”, eager to sell the LGBTQ agenda to its audience.
