Ngong, 10 February, 2023 / 9:20 pm (ACI Africa).
The advocacy for same-sex unions and gender transition in Kenya is not good for the East African nation, Bishop John Oballa Owaa has said.
In his Thursday, February 9 remarks at the annual Mass for Olchekut Supat Apostolic School Narok in his Episcopal See, the Bishop of Kenya’s Catholic Diocese of Ngong condemned the advocacy as going against “the will of God”.
“There is something that is cropping up in our society that does not respect God's commands; there are people promoting same-sex union; I’m speaking about this because it is going to wreck our society,” Bishop Oballa said.
He added, “The present society seems to be incensing same-sex unions; this is not the will of God. The human family or community will die if we go this way.”
Bishop Oballa went on to say that he finds it regrettable that “there are places where people are urging children that they can change their gender” and cautioned students against falling victim to the propagators of gender transitions and homosexual relationships.
