Pope Francis has appointed Mons. Lénard Ndjadi Ndjate who has been serving as the Provincial Superior of the Comboni Missionaries of the Heart of Jesus (MCCJ) in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) as the Auxiliary Bishop for Kisangani Archdiocese.
In the latest Papal appointments made public by the Holy See Press Office on Saturday, May 13, the Holy Father also appointed Mons. Honoré Beugré Dakpa as the new Local Ordinary for Ivory Coast’s Catholic Diocese of Katiola.
Mons. Ndjadi who has been serving as Provincial Superior of MCCJ in DRC since 2020 was born in January 1976 in Yanong in the Archdiocese of Kisangani.
The Congolese Bishop-elect who has been assigned the Titular See of Casae in Numidia made his perpetual vows in MCCJ Congregation on 10 October 2005, and was ordained a Priest in August 2006.
As a Priest, the holder of a Licentiate in Spiritual Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome has served in various capacities including Parish Priest in Bangui (Central African Republic) and Provincial Counsellor, Novice Master of the MCCJ International Novitiate for French-speaking Africa in Cotonou, Benin.
