The leadership of the Catholic Archdiocese of Rabat in Morocco is appealing for support ahead of the Diocesan Youth Day scheduled for November.
In a statement issued on Monday, September 18, the Archbishop of Rabat says the three-day spiritual exercise that is to kick off on November 4 is to be held under the theme, “With Mary, rise in haste for the encounter”.
“We urge you to actively inform those around you about the Diocesan Youth Day,” Cristóbal Cardinal López Romero says, and appeals for support, which he says “is essential if we are to bring the young people of our diocese together in a spirit of faith and encounter.”
Cardinal Romero adds, “In order to facilitate organization and balance costs, an equalization scheme will be set up for transport, so that each parish will make a fair contribution.”
“Young people will be asked to pay a modest sum of 50 dirhams (US$13.61) and bring a blanket for the two nights,” the Spanish-born member of the Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB) says, and urges Parishes to register their parishioners for the event before October 15.
