Catholic Bishops in Kenya have expressed their reservations about the “Building Bridges Initiative” (BBI) report, highlighting the gaps that need to be addressed in what they describe as “a draft in progress.”
Three weeks after the launch of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report, a document containing recommendations on ways of ending tribal animosity and embracing unity in Kenya, Catholic Bishops in the East African nation, under their umbrella body of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) have expressed the need for dialogue in view of building consensus around the proposals in the 156-page report.
A week after the launch of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report, a much-awaited document with recommendations on ending post-election conflicts in Kenya, representatives of religious leaders in the East Africa country have, during their two-day meeting in Nairobi, endorsed the 156-page report, making some proposals for “further consultations and refinement.”
