Pope Francis said Wednesday he will release a follow-up environmental document to the 2015 encyclical Laudato Si’ on Oct. 4, the feast of St. Francis of Assisi.
The course was created with the Ecumenical Patriarch’s cooperation.
The pope sent a video message to the Youth4Climate event in Milan, Italy.
He made the appeal in his prayer intention for September.
