The leadership of the Society of Missionary Childhood, which seeks to help children to discover the missionary spirit across the globe, has lauded officials of the organization in Kenya for keeping children engaged in evangelization initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a letter addressed to Fr. Bonaventure Luchidio, the National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) in Kenya, Sr. Roberta Tremarelli, the Secretary General of the Pontifical Society Missionary Childhood further lauds Bishops in the East African country who she says supported activities of children in their respective Dioceses.
“Dear Father Luchidio, I would like to thank you for all the proposals that you carried out and for involving more and more children in missionary spirituality and activities, especially through the promotion of the charism of the Holy Childhood,” Sr. Tremarelli says in the letter dated Monday, April 19.
She adds, “Kindly express my gratitude to all the Bishops that welcomed the Holy Childhood in their Dioceses.”
In the letter obtained by ACI Africa, the official of the Holy Childhood globally also expresses gratitude to the PMC national coordinator, Sr. Esther Kimani as well as the Diocesan Directors and animators, who she says have remained steadfast in executing their services despite the tough COVID-19 times.
