Kaduna, 26 March, 2022 / 8:30 pm (ACI Africa).
Christian leaders in Nigeria’s Kaduna State have expressed sadness over persistent attacks and killings in the West African nation.
On March 20, bandits reportedly raided Agban Kagoro, Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing at least 15 people and burning houses, the Punch reported.
Following the attack, government officials declared a 24-hour curfew in Jema’a and Kaura local government areas of Southern Kaduna.
In a Monday, March 21 report, Christian leaders in Kaduna State under the auspices of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) say people were being killed “without any substantial action by the Government and security forces”.
“The Christian Association of Nigeria Kaduna State Chapter is sad and grieving following the continued killings, kidnappings, banditry, and the unimaginable evil going on in our state unabated without any substantial action by the Government and security forces,” the Chairman of CAN in Kaduna State has been quoted as saying.
