Prayers are being sought for “God’s healing and protection” for Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe who is undergoing treatment in Rome.
In his homily during a pastoral visit to Yei Diocese, the Auxiliary Bishop of South Sudan’s Juba Archdiocese, invited the people of God to pray for the quick recovery of the Bishop emeritus of the South Sudanese Diocese and his safe return back to the country.
“All of us should continue with prayers for God’s healing and protection upon our emeritus Bishop who is currently abroad,” Bishop Santo Loku Pio Doggale said during the May 14 homily.
Bishop Loku added, “Continue to pray for Bishop emeritus. He is struggling with a sickness on the leg; he is in Rome where he had a minor operation.”
“We should pray that he comes back safely to be with us in South Sudan to continue with the mission of God because he is our grandfather,” the South Sudanese Auxiliary Bishop further said, adding, “It’s through our prayers that God may protect and keep him throughout the period of medication.”
