Abuja, 10 December, 2023 / 9:30 pm (ACI Africa).
Members of the National Association of Catholic Lawyers (NACL) in Nigeria’s Abuja Archdiocese have been cautioned against corruption in their legal practice.
Speaking to ACI Africa on December 3, NACL Abuja Chapter President, Barr. Bunmi Aina-Graig enjoined her colleagues to remember their stewardship role, to which they have to account before God.
“As Catholic Lawyers, we must live above corruption and show the light in the face of thick darkness, which has enveloped our country,” Barr. Bunmi told ACI Africa on the sidelines of the 2023 Catholic Lawyers legal year celebration in Abuja Archdiocese.
She added, “As lawyers we must live our lives knowing that we will one day give account of our stewardship to God.”
“We in the bench know judges that are incorruptible; we can only be praying for the corrupt judges for them to turn away from their ways,” Barr. Bunmi said.
