The remains of Michael Lagu, the victim of the March 26 attack on Our Lady of Assumption Loa Parish of the Catholic Diocese of Torit in South Sudan, have been recovered at the church premises, where they have been temporarily interred.
The Catholic Diocese of Torit has condemned the March 26 violent attack on Our Lady of Assumption Parish in Loa, Magwi County, where South Sudan People's Defense Forces (SSPDF) personnel are said to have killed a civilian, injured another, and desecrated Church property.
The past experiences of armed and intercommunal deadly conflicts have contributed to the reality of trauma among South Sudanese who have lost hope, and stand in need of help to live meaningful lives, a Catholic Priest in the country has said.
