The spread of Christianity in Africa has been fast owing to its people’s inherent structures of community life as well as the “bonding together” of community members, an American Catholic Bishop has said.
One of the areas that benefit significantly from the Solidarity Fund for the Church in Africa, an initiative of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), are programs focused on fostering unity in families and in Small Christian Communities (SCCs).
The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Phoenix in the U.S. has lauded the Association of Member Episcopal Conferences in Eastern Africa (AMECEA), describing it as a “very unique program” that is steering growth in various Dioceses in the African region.
