To deal properly with the crises it faces, Europe must first have hope, Pope Francis said Wednesday at his weekly general audience in St. Peter’s Square.
The pope spoke one day after he gave a strong condemnation of euthanasia on his return flight from Marseille, France, saying there is such a thing as “bad compassion.”
“Neither at the beginning nor at the end. It is not played with!” Pope Francis said on a flight from Marseille to Rome on Sept. 23.
