On the World Day of Consecrated Life, Pope Francis thanked the more than 18,000 priests and religious in the Democratic Republic of Congo for serving others amid the country’s “difficult and often dangerous conditions.”
Consecrated persons in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) have been encouraged to make their respective communities “homes and schools of communion” amid “great crisis of fraternity and recognition of the other.”
There are always things which seem hopeless if seen with the eyes of the world, which is why those in religious life must stay close to the Lord every day, Pope Francis said Saturday.
